Cymbidium Orchid After Hours - Dr. No
Sorry no flowers in the garden at the moment, so this is when we people in the Northern Hemisphere enjoy our indoor plants. Here is one variety of the easiest orchids you can grow.
Cymbidiums, this one is named 'After Hours Dr. No'
After flowering, I pot-up into the next size pot, never over pot orchids, they love to be 'tight-in-the-pot' and always use a good 'orchid compost'. When all risk of frost has gone this pot of orchids is placed on the patio for the whole Summer/Autumn. During Autumn it is fed a potash feed once a month.
Before frosts arrive take inside, a heated greenhouse or indoors in a position of good daylight, loves morning and late afternoon sun. When new 'flowering stems' appear through the soil give a high nitrogen feed once a month.
Never let your plant dry out completely and never over water, orchids hate to be 'soggy'.
